while our foundation Niños En Accion was picking up to leave Big Pine Key they notified us that there was a family that was picking up what was left of their house since it was severely damaged and a young man lives there my daughter Evelyn Prieto and my two granddaughter walked over to the house and presented him with his book bag and mom was extremely thankful that someone would come

Every year we visit 25 school and give back to those who need it most, the children of the MDCPS these children are hand picked an every year you get to see their smiles and the excitement they get when they receive a brand new book bag and all the supplies they need for the beginning of a school year. I thank our sponsors for their support year after year for us to bless those that need it most.

With us on Friday we had a very special guest Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez who join us for a game of golf and to my surprise he recognized our foundation Children in Action Niños En Accion with a proclamation for the job were doing serving the children and families of our community. I want to thank our Mayor Gimenez for such a distinguished recognition, may God always watch and bless him and all of our public servant that year after year are with us. Mayor Yioset De La Cruz, Eddy Gonzalez, Vivian Casáls-Muñoz, Mayor Carlos Hernandez, Representative Jose Oliva, Jeanne Oliva, Luis Gonzalez, Erik Fresen, Senator Rene Garcia, Mayor Manny Cid, Representatives Manny Diaz Jr., Bryan Avila, Jaenette Nunez, Commissioner Joe A. Martinez, Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Thank you all for your support and trust in our foundation. I will also like to recognize all of our Volunteers who year after year come out and help us make this event greater and greater and last but not least my Husband Rolando Prieto for being my right hand in everything we do.
Our foundation Children in Action / Niños En Accion is Blessed beyond words to be able to help these children, they lost their house due to a fire this last weekend in Hialeah. Some of them had burns on their little bodies, but thankful to God they are alive. Our Foundation was able to give them uniforms, book bags, socks, undies, toys and a gift card to Walmart for food. May God watch, bless and help this family during these hard times.
To finish off the year we gave these seniors a Christmas to remember live music wonderful gifts that were raffled and a wonderful lunch. Hialeah Park supplied them with lunch, the Hialeah fire fighters benevolent association raffle smoke detectors, lighters and firefighter calendars, Miami Beach Medical Center raffled out all kind of goodies, and our foundation gave each of the guest a Christmas coffee cup.
This year our foundation had the privileged to give to 120 students of Dade-County Public schools the privaledge to enjoy a full thanksgiving meal. We are so blessed and thankful to our sponsors that through our yearly golf tournament we are able to give back. We visited 22 schools and this year we had the help of our friends Vivian Casal-Muñoz, Jorge Gonzalez, Nayi & Jackson that helped me make the rounds around the cities to the different schools.
